project3

The character i created was a cat named tabby. Right now all i have done is her blogger account. I have included a picture and i plan to add more. Oh and i also have a flickr account as well. I mainly tell almost each day through her point of view. What she does and about her life. Shes a brown/white/black cat that is 1 1/2 years old. She lives with her "roommates" and her sister Lucy. I am going to create a facebook and myspace account for her and hopefully shell have friends eventually. For the google map part of the assignment i'm going to pretend that she goes outside and meets other cats and such. I also may add drama to the story and pretend that tabby disappears and no one knows where she is. The google map part can also be a map of where she went when she was so called missing or where everyone rememberd she was before she disappeared. This is still in the works and i have more things i need to do and add therefore nothing is set in stone. I may alter what i have somewhat but other than that this is pretty much it. If you have any good ideas let me know. Thanks!

Project 3

How i can try to use what i learned about online caroline in my project could be several ways. If i make a myspace or a facebook page i could respond to my friends like someone is actually there. However, it could be difficult because my character is a cat and in reality they cannot answer. I can add a twist in the story to keep people interested maybe by making my cat disappear. Then they may be wondering what happened to her and where she went or when shell be back. Other than that i am unsure of how to actually use someone to "game" because my character is a cat.

More thoughts on Project 3

As of right now I'm not sure of who I'm going to be. I was considering using a cat/kitten or maybe being a model. If I were to use the cat I could include pictures of them doing different activities since I have 2 cats of my own. I could also make a map of where they go and make them have friends on Facebook. If I was a model I could also include the friends they could have on facebook. I could also make them travel around the world for modeling jobs.

REFLECTION:
I thought that this was a really interesting project. I never really had a blog before this nor did I ever use Google Maps. I think that Google Maps is a really cool program and it's a great way to show people where you have been. I also really liked the idea of this whole project because it is such a unique way to tell someone a story. Using all the different links and hypertext is a good way to keep someone interested in what's going to happen next. And it is much more unique and interesting than just sitting there and reading plain text. Overall, I thought this was a really cool first project and I really have learned a lot from start to finish.

Pictures

I have several pictures from the vacation I took to Disney World this past summer. I practically have a day to day account of everything we did during this trip. Because I have all these pictures I can give a picture for the day to day events that I have told throughout my story. They could be added just about anywhere I have a picture that would help describe my story better. I think it would be better to add them directly to the blog instead of providing a link to Flickr. The pictures could be of the place itself or the people involved. They would add to the story because if the readers could not only read a description of the event but also be able to see images they can actually pretend and feel as if they themselves were there!
